His father creating Hägar The Horrible

After getting into a car wreck, Dik Browne realized that he needed to create a new comic, one to support his family if something were to happen to him. He locked himself in the basement until something was created. In the basement, they dried their clothes on the clothes line. This made for an interesting sketch. Eventually, the lock-in evoked the creation of Hägar. History was made, underneath a strand of pants, wet socks, and bras.
